“Help the Child get where you are” was initiated by HFLI to effectively reach out to the students mentored by the Initiative. The First event was for selected students from schools outside Lagos. These students were mentored by Ambassador Dr. Christopher Kolade who took time to educate the students on the importance of having a passion for something and developing one’s gift. The highpoint was when he showed the students a throwback picture of himself in secondary school with other notable Nigerians like Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka and world renowned Gynecologist Prof. Akinkugbe. One of the students asked him if there was anything people did not know about him. His answer blew the students, he said he self-taught him
self the keyboard as choirmaster in Church.
